CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Returning home from a four-game road stand, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi continues their Southland Conference season at Chapman Field with a three-game series against visiting Lamar. The Islanders are riding a two-game win streak after dropping Southeastern Louisiana 13-7 in Sunday's series finale, and beating Houston Baptist this Tuesday in Sugar Land 5-3.
The Blue and Green will be shaking things up a bit, with some minor tweaks to the weekend's regular rotation. Corpus Christi ace,
Aaron Hernandez, will get his start moved up to Friday, while regular game one starter
Dustin Lacaze moves back to Sunday. Saturday will belong to freshman
Leonel Perez, who makes the first weekend start of his Islander career.
Sitting 11th overall in the most recent Southland Conference standings, Corpus Christi will look to move its way up the SLC ladder this weekend, as the Cardinals come to the Island with a 7-26 record in 2018.
