Softball Starts Southland Play

Corpus Christi, Texas - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi heads to Nacogdoches on Friday for the first Southland Conference series of the season. The Islanders will face the Lumberjacks in a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. The last game will be played on Saturday at 12 p.m.

PREVIOUS GAME
Corpus Christi returns to the island after going 3-2 in the Houston Red & White Showcase. The Islanders faced Mississippi Valley State, Southern, and tournament host, University of Houston. On Friday, the Blue and Green beat Mississippi Valley State 5-2 before a rematch Saturday beating them for the second time, 3-2. Later that day, Corpus Christi fell to tournament host U of H 6-0. To finish the tournament, the Islanders went 1-1 on Sunday beating Southern 10-2 before losing to Houston again, 6-1.
