CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas- Texas A&M Softball will be traveling to Houston tomorrow, as they will be competing in U of H's Invitational. The Islanders will slate off their first game of the weekend on Friday at 1 p.m., against Mississippi Valley State. The Blue and Green will rematch with MVSU once again on Saturday morning at 10 a.m., and face the host later that day at 3 p.m. Islanders will finish off the invitational on Sunday with a doubleheader against Southern University at 12:30 p.m. and Houston at 3 p.m.
PREVIOUS GAME FOR THE ISLANDERS
Away from the Island., the Blue and Green battled a strong Texas team Wednesday evening in Austin, TX., as they fell to the Longhorns 8-0 in four and a half innings. The host team had a huge first inning that placed the Islanders in a 8-0 trail, but were then held in only having 9 total hits for the remainder of the night by Corpus Christi.
Kaylee Hoppens and
Destiney Diaz took their mark on the field, as they both registered a hit and drew a single walk.
Kaylon Dunn snatched her fifth stolen base of the year for the Islanders during their evening competition against Texas.

>> Out of the 5 games the Jaguars have played this season, they are 3-2 for the season
COMING UP NEXT
As the Islanders return from Houston's Invitational, they will then travel to Nacogdoches to face SFA in their first Southland series of the 2018 season.
