Islanders announce spring promotions and ticket prices!

The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Islanders Athletic Department has announced their marketing and promotions initiatives for the upcoming spring sports season. There are a lot of fun opportunities for students, fans, families, and alumni to check out the Islanders and have a good time doing it at an affordable cost.
 
Baseball Promotions
The baseball season is headlined by 5 games at Whataburger Field including 3 games in the Kleberg Bank College Classic (2/23-2/25), as well as home games against Texas A&M (3/27) and Texas (4/3). Tickets for those events can be purchased through the Corpus Christi Hooks.
The other 24 home games will take place on campus at Chapman Field. Season long promotions include:

• Every Friday game, the first 100 fans will receive Islanders Sunglasses
• Every Saturday game, will be Kids Day and feature an inflatable. Kids wearing their youth league jersey will receive free admission on Saturday games. (Valid for those 8th grade and under)
• Every Sunday game, kids will have the opportunity to run the bases or play catch in the outfield at the conclusion of the game.

Other key dates to highlight:

• 2/28 – The Islanders will host a free cookout for Faculty and Staff of the Island University.
• 3/17 – In honor of St. Patrick's Day, the first 150 fans will receive a green Islanders reusable cup.
• 3/18 – The first 150 fans will receive a wooden, Islanders engraved mini-bat.
• 3/20 – The final home game of the South Texas Showdown presented by NavyArmy Community Credit Union. The first 200 fans will receive a Showdown shirt.
• 3/31 – Post-game Easter Egg Hunt on the field for all kids in attendance.
• 4/15 – Post-game clinic by the Baseball team and coaching staff. (registration information to come)
• 5/4 – May the Fourth will be Star Wars day at Chapman Field. The first 100 fans will receive a light saber and during the game we will blow up the death star!
• 5/5 – To celebrate Cinco de Mayo – There will be free chips and salsa at the ticket window, while supplies last.
• 5/6 – Post-game clinic by the Baseball team and coaching staff. (registration information to come)
• 5/12 – Senior Day

 
Softball Promotions
The Islanders softball team will host 19 home games on the Island at Chapman Field. Season long promotions include:

• Every Friday game, the first 100 fans will receive Islanders Sunglasses
• Every Saturday game, will be Kids Day and feature an inflatable. Kids wearing their youth league jersey will receive free admission on Saturday games.

Other key dates to highlight:

• 2/21 – First home game of the season, get your 2018 Islanders Softball Poster.
• 3/17 – In honor of St. Patrick's Day, the first 150 fans will receive a green Islanders reusable cup.

Islanders Baseball and Softball Ticket Prices
Whataburger Field games
There are multiple packages fans can buy for the Islanders games at Whataburger Field. The packages are as follows for advanced purchasing, prices go up on the day of game:

• Kleberg Bank College Classic TAMUCC Student tickets - $5
• Kleberg Bank College Classic Single Day Pass - $10 ($5 for youth)
• Kleberg Bank College Classic Weekend Pass - $24 ($12 for youth)
• Kleberg Bank College Classic and Texas A&M – $30
• Kleberg Bank College Classic and Texas – $30
• Kleberg Bank College Classic, Texas A&M, and Texas - $45

Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Students get in to the Texas A&M and Texas game for free with a valid SandDollar$ ID. There will be an on campus student ticket distribution, stay tuned for details.

Chapman Field
Baseball and Softball single game prices are:

• Adult - $6
• Youth - $4
• Group - $3

Group tickets are a great way to bring a team, league, friends, or co-workers out to a game. Groups purchasing group ticket are also eligible for exclusive group experiences such as PA Announcement welcoming the group, Anthem buddies, chalk talk with coach, post-game picture on field, and post-game Q&A session with coach and player.

Group tickets must be purchased in advance, and group experiences are available on a first come, first serve basis. Contact the Islanders Ticket Office at 361-825-BALL for more information.

Anthem Singers
The Islanders Athletic Department is looking for National Anthem singers for Baseball and Softball games. If you are interested, email Tim Doyle at Timothy.Doyle@tamucc.edu for more information or to book dates.  

Tennis Promotions
All Tennis matches take place at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center and feature free admission and parking.
Key dates to highlight for Tennis promotions are:

• 2/15 – Islanders Sunglasses giveaway
• 2/16 - South Texas Showdown presented by NavyArmy Community Credit Union. The first 25 fans will receive a Showdown shirt.
• 3/1 – Post-match hit around
• 3/2 – 3/3 – HEB Tournament of Champions – All day tournament features top teams from around the country.
• 3/9 - South Texas Showdown presented by NavyArmy Community Credit Union. The first 25 fans will receive a Showdown shirt.
• 3/16-3/17 – CCTA Weekend
• 3/20 – Poster giveaway and signing
• 3/31 – poster giveaway and signing
• 4/4 – Cookout /Faculty & Staff Day
• 4/16 – Senior Day

Key Dates for Islanders Golf, Beach Volleyball, and Track
The Islanders Golf team will host their annual home tournament February 26^th – February 27^th at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
The Islander Beach Volleyball team will host their lone home match of the season against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Friday, March 23^rd. The match will be played on the Beach Courts at the Dugan Family Stadium.
And the final home event of the season will be hosted by the Islanders Track and Field squad as they host the Islander Last Chance Meet at the Dugan Family Track Stadium. The last chance meet will feature teams and athletes from around the country working to improve their times as they prepare for the NCAA Tournament.
