CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Supporters of Islanders Athletics helped to set a new fundraising record last Saturday at the 2026 Casino Night, presented by Mazda Corpus Christi, bringing in more than $171,000 in support of student-athlete scholarships at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The total broke the event's previous high mark of $168,000, which was set back in 2024. The event continued its upward trend after eclipsing the $100,000 mark for the first time in 2018.
"I am so proud of what we accomplished as an Islanders Athletics community," Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Adrian Rodriguez said. "Our incredible Islanders supporters and friends came out in an amazing way and set a new record for the most funds ever raised at Casino Night! The true beneficiaries of this tremendous support are our Islanders student-athletes, so thank you Islanders for making it such a special evening!

The event featured food, Las Vegas style gaming, a cash bar, and live, bid board and silent auctions throughout the night. Mobile bidding was also open and helped individuals unable to attend place bids on items.
