CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The Islanders' soccer program (5-6-3, 2-4-2 Southland) returns to the road for the last time this season for a pair of weekend contests, initially facing off against McNeese State (11-5-1, 5-2-1 Southland) on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Lake Charles, La. Despite slogging through a three-match losing streak the past week and a half, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi continues to work towards clinching a spot in the coveted top eight and locking up a berth in the conference tournament, set for Wednesday, Oct. 31 through Sunday, Nov. 4.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi closes out the road schedule with a Sunday afternoon visit to Lamar (9-4-2, 5-1-2 Southland), battling the Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. in Beaumont, Texas. With the all-time series against Lamar sitting at 3-3-0, the Islanders aim to break the tie in their favor with a crucial Southland victory Sunday afternoon.
