CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team continues Southland Conference action this weekend at Chapman Field as Central Arkansas arrives for a three-game series.

First pitch for the series is slated for 6 p.m. on Friday night. Sunday's game will start at 11 a.m.

The Islanders (14-27, 6-12) return to league play after their upset bid at No. 22 Texas A&M fell short on Tuesday night.
Dalton Stark and
Dawson Yates notched multi-hit games, while
Brett Burner and
Harrison DiNicola drove in the two runs for the Blue and Green.

By going 2-for-4, Stark extended his hitting streak to six straight games. The Cypress native is hitting .440 during the stretch and has a team leading .317 clip at the plate this year.

Chris Cooper, who picked up a save in last Saturday's come-from-behind win over Stephen F. Austin, ranks 12th in the league in strikeouts with 46 and sixth in saves with four.

Dustin Lacaze will get the ball to start the series on Friday night. The redshirt freshman has gone through 5 2/3 innings in each of his last three starts. This season, Lacaze is 2-1 this season in 35 innings with five starts.

Central Arkansas (22-19, 10-8) is sixth in the Southland standings coming into the weekend. Hunter strong is hitting .380 this season with 32 RBI, which ranks third and 15th in the conference, respectively. The Bears pitching staff has a 4.97 ERA and opponents are hitting .271 this season.
