CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – For the first time ever in program history, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will play in the finals of a postseason tournament as the Islanders host Saint Peter's in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament Championship on Friday night at the Dugan Wellness Center.

Saint Peter's reached the final with a dominant 77-51 victory over Furman in the semifinal. The Peacocks finished second in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Friday night's championship game will also bring national television to the Island as CBS Sports Network will televise the game.

TAILGATE TIME
Islanders Athletics will host a pregame tailgate in front of the Dugan Wellness Center beginning at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The event will feature a variety of free food and drinks.

Students can pick up their tickets beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Islanders Pep Band will then join the pep rally at 6:45 before doors open at 7 p.m.

Ehab Amin broke a 20-year old Southland Conference record with his 119th steal of the season Wednesday night.
>> Amin surpassed Pointer Williams 1995-96 campaign at McNeese for the most steals in a single-season in the 54-year history of the Southland.
>> With 213 career steals, Amin has also set the school's career record for thefts.

>> An Islander has now matched the school record for steals in a single-game in back-to-back contests.

Ehab Amin recorded seven steals for the second time this season.
