CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – For the first time in program history, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has reached the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament as the Islanders will host Fort Wayne in the Dugan Wellness Center Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
 
The Islanders (22-11) have won two postseason games for the first time after defeating Georgia State and Weber State in the opening two rounds. Rashawn Thomas has averaged 30 points through the first two games of the tournament to lead the Islanders. Junior guard Ehab Amin has added 22 points to the offensive effort.

NABC ALL-DISTRICT
• Rashawn Thomas and Ehab Amin were both tabbed among the best in the country by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
• The pair earned All-District 23 honors with Thomas on the first team and Amin on the second.
 
ALL SOUTHLAND HONORS
• Veteran duo Rashawn Thomas and Ehab Amin were each named to the All-Southland First Team.
• The Islanders were the only team in the conference with two players on the First Team.
• For Thomas, it's his third appearance on the All-Southland teams and the second consecutive season as a member of the first team.
• This is Amin's first appearance on the All-Southland squads.
 
STEALING THE SHOW
• Ehab Amin sits second in the nation in steals per game and leads the Southland Conference with 3.33 steals per game.
• His 110 steals this season are the most in school history and rank among the second all time in Southland Conference history.
• With 204 career steals, Amin has also set the school's career record for thefts.
• Amin is eight steals away from the single-season Southland record.
 
THOMAS 10TH
• Rashawn Thomas sits 10th in the nation in scoring, racking up 22.5 points per game.
• Thomas needs 36 points to become the first Islander to ever hit 2,000 career points.
 
AMIN HITS MILESTONES
• In the second round win over Weber State, Ehab Amin hit a pair of milestones.
• The junior guard scored his 1,000th point as an Islander, part of a 25-point performance on the night.
• He also racked up his 200th career steal, becoming the first Islander to ever  hit the 200 mark.
