CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis steps away from Southland Conference play to face Schreiner in a doubleheader Wednesday at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.
The Islanders currently sit at 9-4 on the season and 1-0 in the conference play after defeating Nicholls last Wednesday. A&M-Corpus Christi and Schreiner are set to play at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Schreiner sits a 10-3 on the season and is coming off a 2-2 week in California.
Carlos Pedrosa Cuevas and
William Mottet lead the Islanders in victories this season with seven apiece. Pedrosa Cuevas is 7-1 on the year in singles action while Mottet sits at 7-3. Seniors
Paul Cook and
Kevin Bettendroffer both sit at 5-2 in singles action on the season.
A&M-Corpus Christi has now won four straight matches dating back to March 3. Each of those four wins have come via shutouts as the Islanders have outscored their opponents 22-0 during the streak.

Following the midweek doubleheader, the Islanders men's team will head to the Rice Spring Invitational for three matches over two days this weekend. The Blue and Green will face UNLV, Denver and Rice over the weekend.
