CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Continuing on its season opening homestand, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi returns to the Island and Chapman Field to host UTSA Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.

The Islanders are aiming to end a six-game skid in which three of the losses came by just a single run. A&M-Corpus Christi faced No. 25 Houston Sunday to cap off the Kleberg Bank College Classic and brought the tying run to the plate before falling 4-2 to the Cougars.

Aaron Rhodes will earn his first start as an Islander. The right-hander has made two appearances out of the bullpen this season, working 1 2/3 scoreless frames.

UTSA comes into Tuesday's bout at 4-3 on the season. The Roadrunners carry a big stick, hitting .327 as a team to start the season. Left-hander Steven Dressler will get the start for UTSA after throwing 5 2/3 innings in his only other start this season.

Dressler picked up no decision in his previous start and owns a 4.76 ERA.

The Islanders are led at the dish by sophomore
Nick Anderson. The center fielder is hitting .400 on the year with two doubles and a team-high seven RBI. Anderson was named to the All-Tournament team at the Kleberg Bank College Classic this weekend.
