CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Head coach
Willis Wilson and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi basketball have signed Jalon Clark to a National Letter of Intent.

A 6-foot-6 forward out of Houston, Clark will join the Islanders roster for the 2018-19 campaign. Clark plays his high school basketball for Houston Christian.

Clark has appeared in numerous rankings, including falling in as the No. 108 prospect in the state of Texas according to MaxPreps. He was also tabbed No. 24 in VYPE's Top 30 from the Houston area.

"Jalon is a versatile player who can play basically any position on the floor," said head coach
Willis Wilson. "He's an athletic guy with good ball handling skills who can run the floor. Jalon has the ability to score the ball at all three levels and has done everything from play the point to posting up. He possesses a strong mid-range game and has shown that he can knock down the three as well. We're excited to add him to the roster and I think he's a great fit for our program."

As a junior in 2016-17, Clark helped Houston Christian to a 22-12 record and a 14-2 mark in district play. Clark averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds, adding six assists and three steals.

As a result of his performance, Clark earned All-Southwest Preparatory honors at Houston Christian.
