CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball faces its toughest Southland Conference test yet as the Islanders head to Central Arkansas on Thursday before facing Northwestern State Saturday.
The Islanders face the Sugar Bears Thursday night in a clash of two of the league's top teams. UCA is 3-1 in league play with a 14-2 overall mark. Corpus Christi is 6-11 all-time against UCA but has won each of the last four meetings.
ISLANDERS INSIGHT
After a grueling non-conference slate, the Islanders are riding a five-match winning streak to open Southland Conference play. The Blue and Green have now won 43-consecutive matches against Southland foes dating back to Nov. 22, 2014.

Madison Woods is the reigning defensive Player of the Week in the Southland after amassing 70 digs through three matches last week. Woods averaged better than six digs per set over the course of the week.
Madison Green produced her first double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs last week and now leads the Blue and Green with a .330 hitting percentage in Southland matches.
