Islanders Insider Returns to Root Sports for 2016-17

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –  Islanders Insider, the television program showcasing Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Athletics, will return for its fifth season and air on Root Sports Southwest Thursdays at 5 p.m. CT.
 
For the 2016-17 season, Islanders Insider will air a new episode the first Thursday of every month, September through May.  Each episode will re-air on subsequent Thursdays through the month of its original airdate.
 
Islanders Insider is a perfect opportunity for fans of the Blue and Green to get an inside look at the program with coach interviews, features and updates on all of the action highlighting the half hour program.
 
The first episode of the 2016-17 season is scheduled to air on Sept. 1 and will feature interviews with men's basketball head coach Willis Wilson and soccer head coach Shanna Caldwell.  Updates on Islanders Volleyball and Cross Country and a feature on the men's basketball strength and conditioning program will be showcased in the September edition.
 
Voice of the Islanders Steven King, who fans can also hear on basketball and volleyball broadcasts on the Islanders Digital Network, is back to host the show this year.
 
After each episode airs on the first Thursday of every month, full shows and segments will be available on the Islanders Athletics YouTube page.
