CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Following it's first loss of the season, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi finishes a two-game road swing with a Monday night matchup at Texas A&M. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. with the game being carried on the SEC Network+ and WatchESPN.

The Islanders (5-1) and Aggies (4-2) are meeting for the sixth time on the hardwood with Texas A&M holding a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series. The two last met in 2015 with the Aggies taking a 95-70 victory in Reed Arena.

A&M-Corpus Christi had been one of the final 15 undefeated teams in the country before Cal Poly handed the Islanders their first loss of the season Saturday night. The Mustangs hit 14 three-pointers to hold off a second-half surge from the Blue and Green.

Monday night opens a tough stretch to end the non-conference season as the Islanders play the Aggies along with Saint Mary's and Oklahoma State in three of their final five before Southland play.

Texas A&M sits at 4-2 on the year and comes off a runner-up performance at the Wooden Legacy last weekend. The Aggies fell to No. 14 UCLA in the finals 74-67 while defeating Cal State Northridge and Virginia Tech.

• DJ Hogg leads four Aggies in double figures, averaging 14.3 points per game. Tyler Davis, Admon Gilder and Robert Williams join Hogg in scoring 10-plus points per game.
• Texas A&M has already played one Southland opponent, drubbing Northwestern State 72-44 in the season opener.
• Both of A&M's losses have come at the hands of California teams as USC won 65-63 in Reed Arena Nov. 18.
• A Billy Kennedy hallmark, the Aggies have been strong defensively, allowing opponents to score just 62 points per game. That mark ranks second in the SEC and 32nd in the nation.
• On the glass, the Aggies rank top-20 in the country with an average of 43 boards per contest.
