Prior to TAMUCC: Transfered from San Jacinto Junior College where she played for coach Sharon Nelson...Was a two-year starter where she helped lead her team to a 28-7 record her sophomore season en route to the regional championship and 11th-place finish at nationals...As a freshman she had 610 digs which set a school record for digs in a season and followed that up with 597 digs her sophomore season...Was a two-time all-conference honoree and was named to the all-region team her sophomore season.
