Whitney Roth

Whitney Roth is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach after joining the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball staff in July 2017.

Roth comes to the Island after serving as the assistant coach at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska for one season. While in Scottsbluff, Roth focused on the travel arrangements and various off court duties for the Cougars. On the court, Roth spent the majority of her time coaching the middle blockers. Roth helped coach the team to a 35-7 record, a Region IX Championship, and an 8th place finish at the NJCAA National Championship.

Prior to joining the staff at WNCC, Roth spent the 2014-2015 seasons at Division II Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. During her two seasons at Chadron State, she was the graduate assistant, coaching assistant, and interim head coach. Before the stint at Chadron State, Roth spent one year as the freshmen coach at Gering High School in Gering, Nebraska.

A 2010 graduate of Western Nebraska Community College, in her two years at WNCC, Roth helped the team to a 101-8 record, two Region IX Championships, and two 3rd place finishes at the NJCAA National Championsip. A 2013 graduate of Texas A&M-Kingsville, during her senior season, Roth helped the team to a Lone Star Conference Tournament appearance. Roth received her Master’s degree in Sports Management from Chadron State in 2016.
