Carly Boatwright joined the Islanders as an assistant coach in 2017.

A native of Parker, Colo., Boatwright was a Colorado 4A State Volleyball Champion at Ponderosa High School and middle blocker for Front Range Volleyball Club. Her passion for coaching volleyball started in high school, coaching a local rec team and helping out with club camps.

Boatwright went on to compete collegiately as a middle blocker for the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane where she was a two-time Conference USA Champion. After earning a B.A. in Communications from the University of Tulsa she pursued a career in marketing and PR with the San Diego based agency, Marketing Design Group (mdg). 

While with MDG, Boatwright continued to coach at Wave Volleyball Club. Driven by her love of coaching and passion for the game of volleyball, she joined the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islander Volleyball staff as an Assistant Coach.
 
Boatwright brings a level of organization, creativity and administrative experience from her time working for mdg in San Diego that will be essential for taking the Islanders to the next level. Her experience as a Division I player and club coach brings in a level of understanding of high level volleyball that will help Islander athletes reach their highest potential.
