2020-21 (Jr.): Played in 66 of 69 sets on the season… registered 103 digs, 14 assists and 14 aces overall… tallied a kill in a marathon set against Sam Houston in the SLC Championship match and also posted eight digs and three assists… fired an ace in 11 matches… tallied a season-high 12 digs against Incarnate Word… registered 10 digs and a season-high four assists in the SLC Quarterfinals against Houston Baptist… dug up a pair of attacks in the NCAA Tournament vs. San Diego

2019 (So.): Appeared in all 31 matches and played in 114 total sets ... finished the year with 246 digs, 30 service aces and 30 assists ... recorded nine double-figure dig performances and had at least two digs in all 31 matches ... had nine multi-service ace performances ... season-high 17 digs twice, both coming against SFA on Nov. 7 and again on Nov. 23 ... had three service aces in a win over Nicholls (10/24) to go along with 11 digs.

2018 (Fr.): Appeared in all 30 matches and saw action in 103 sets ... led the team with 293 digs on the year ... also recorded 33 assists, 19 service aces and nine kills ... had double-figure dig totals in 17 matches ... season-high of 24 digs against HBU (10/11) ... had four service aces in a match at Abilene Christian (10/16).

V.R. Eaton High School
In 2017, Payne helped the Eagles to a 24-20 record ... racked up 30 or more digs twice while adding seven matches with 20-plus digs ... earned back-to-back Team MVP honors ... school record holder with 496 digs in a single season and was part of a squad that qualified for state in 2015 and regionals in 2016 ... was a four-year letter winner in track and field as a pole vaulter.
