High School: Played for head coach Becky Schlicting at Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Minn....Recorded 202 kills and 76 blocks during her senior season...Named to the Minnesota "Fab 50 Senior" list...Team Offensive MVP in 2007 and 2008...Helped her team win the Central Lakes Conference Championship in 2007 and 2008...All-Conference in 2007 and 2008...Named Academic All-State and All-Conference Scholar Athlete in 2007 and 2008.

Personal: Born Ariel Kaitlyn Carlson on July 31, 1991 in Alexandria, Minn....Daughter of Allan anad Kathryn Carlson...Has one older and one younger sibling, Alise (20) and Ross (16)...Plans to major biology/pre-vet(veterinary medicine).
