CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer team finalized its full schedule for the 2026 season on Friday afternoon, adding eight nonconference matches to its 10 Southland Conference matchups announced last month to complete its full 18-match slate to be played in the fall.
The Islanders will kick off the new year at home on Wednesday, August 12, welcoming Tarleton State to the Dr. Jack Dugan Family Soccer & Track Stadium for a match under the lights at 7 p.m. This kicks off a five-match homestand lasting more than two weeks to open the season, with the team also hosting Texas A&M-International on August 16, Prairie View A&M on August 23 and Sam Houston State on August 27 before rounding out the stretch of contests in Corpus Christi against Our Lady of the Lake on August 30.
A&M-Corpus Christi's first road trip of the year comes in the form of a pair of matches out west, opening up its away slate against Cal State Bakersfield on September 3 before then remaining in California for a showdown against Fresno State three days later. After this, the team then returns back home for its final taste of nonconference action of the season, squaring off against UTEP on September 13.
Following these eight contests, the Islanders step into the most important part of their schedule, squaring off against every team in the Southland Conference once in round robin format with five matches being at home and five being on the road. The 2026 Southland Conference Women's Soccer Championship will be hosted by East Texas A&M in Commerce, Texas, with the first round set to kick off on November 10. The semifinals will then be held on November 12, and the final match will take place three days later on November 15. This season, the Islanders will be looking to secure their eighth consecutive berth to the tournament and 10
th overall in the history of the program.
