BEAUMONT, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball team continues through the conference slate onto Lamar this weekend, facing the Cardinals for three-games between Friday and Saturday.
Friday's doubleheader will get underway at noon with game two to follow the completion of game one. Game three is scheduled for Saturday at noon to round out the conference series.
The Islanders get back on the road after four games at home, including hosting league leading Southeastern last weekend and Big 12 Houston this past Tuesday. It was a tough home stretch as A&M-Corpus Christi will look to get back to the win column, having won their previous two series against HCU and East Texas A&M.
Lamar leads the Islanders 19-11 in the all-time record. The Islanders have dropped the last five games to the Cardinals, seeking their first win since game one of the 2024 series. They last won a series with Lamar in the 2023 season, taking two of three at home.
