CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Tickets for the 16
th annual Kleberg Bank College Classic hosted by the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team are on sale now.
This year's edition of the tournament will be held from Friday, February 20 to Sunday, February 22, and it will feature six games across the three days at Whataburger Field. A weekend pass for every game is available to purchase for $32, while individual day passes are available for $13.50 each.
"Another great edition of the Kleberg Bank College Classic is coming soon," Islanders head coach
Scott Malone said. "The tournament always draws great South Texas crowds, and this year is no different. We are proud to bring some of the best programs in Division I baseball to Corpus Christi."
The Islanders will be welcoming a trio of Division I opponents to town for the weekend, hosting Pittsburgh from the ACC and both Long Beach State and Cal State Bakersfield from the Big West. They previously faced the Panthers twice during the weekend of the 2024 Kleberg Classic, while their games against the Dirtbags and the Roadrunners will be their first time ever squaring off with both teams.
"We are bringing in a strong contender from the ACC combined with some traditional west coast teams," Malone said. "Pittsburgh has been in the tournament before, while Long Beach State and Cal State Bakersfield make their first appearances each. Long Beach State is one of the more storied programs in college baseball, with famous alumni like Troy Tulowitzki, Jason Giambi and Evan Longoria."
