CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer team returns to action on Sunday morning after a 10-day break, hosting Fresno State at 11 a.m. in their final nonconference contest of the season.
The Islanders (2-3-2) were taken down in their most recent match last Thursday, falling to Tarleton State by a final of 2-0 to wrap up what was their longest road trip of 2025. The loss brought what had been a program-best streak to an end, as the team had previously scored at least one goal in each of its last 13 games dating back to October 18 of last season, surpassing the previous high of 11 games set in 2023 as the longest streak in school history. A&M-Corpus Christi had also scored a goal in each of the first six contests of the 2025 campaign, which marks its first time accomplishing this since all the way back in its inaugural season in 2013.
Now looking to start a new record-breaking run, the Islanders square off against the Bulldogs (2-2-2), who continue their trip through the Lone Star State after taking down Texas Southern on Thursday. The matchup over the weekend will be the first-ever between the two schools but the second for A&M-Corpus Christi against a Mountain West opponent this year, with the team previously earning a 1-1 draw against New Mexico in the home opener back on August 17.
Sunday's game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Stephen King on the call. The live stats will also be available to follow along as they happen.
