TUCSON, Ariz. – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball team will launch the highly anticipated 2025 campaign underway this weekend with three matches in Arizona's Wildcat Classic Friday through Sunday.
The season officially gets underway Friday at 5:30 p.m. CT when the Islanders square off with Fresno State. Saturday brings a marquee matchup against the tournament hosts, Arizona, at 2:30 p.m. CT, before the Islanders wrap up opening weekend with a Sunday matinee against Alabama State at 12 p.m. CT.
It will return A&M-Corpus Christi to the court for the first time since closing the 2024 season in the NCAA Tournament First Round against No. 7 Texas, as they aim to carry that momentum into another championship-caliber year.
This year's roster, however, will feature a new arsenal as the Islanders had to reload after graduating eight from the 2024 championship squad, bringing in seven freshmen and four transfers. They will look to the six seasoned returners of
Kenna Buchanan,
Kaitlyn Baumann,
Hadley Burger,
Brooklyn Jaeger,
Katelyn Krienke, and
Virginia Van Der Werff.
All matches will have live stats to follow along. The match against Arizona will be streamed live on ESPN+ while the two neutral matches will be available on FloVolleyball.
