CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up their nonconference schedules Tuesday at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center with a pair of sweeps in a doubleheader over Howard Payne.
The men (14-4) and women (16-2) finished strong with their nonconference finales, both topping Howard Payne 7-0 in their first matches and then 5-0 in the latter part of the doubleheader.
The men took every doubles court in both matches, with none of the courts conceding more than two games.

Harry Fouzas took a pair of 6-1 decisions at No. 1 doubles while courts two and three saw a switch in lineup between the matches to fuel the doubles point in both.
In the first match,
Omar Suarez and
Nicolas Trebuchet both posted two 6-1 sets for singles victories at courts three and five, respectively.
Nathan Favier won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles while
Nicholas Niox Chateau and
Josef Zapletal matched each other with 6-0, 6-1 wins at No. 2 and No. 6 singles. Berry won his singles match at court four 6-0, 6-2.
In the second match, Chateau moved up to court one and registered his second singles win of the day 6-1, 6-1 while Trebuchet also took a 6-1, 6-1 decision at court three. Mathieu Coignet and
Maxime Salesses also took singles wins at courts five and six for the match victory.
The women won every doubles court in the first match in 6-0 decisions, while

Yana Mykytyn also won in match two with a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles and
Zoe Moley/
Adriana Jimenez Casado won 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
Mykytyn completed a 4-0 day for herself with two singles victories, winning 6-1, 6-0 at court two before moving up to court one for another 6-1, 6-0 decision. Casado and Moley also went 4-0 on the day after closing out singles wins at courts five and six in both matches.
Ramanouskaya,
Josefa Fuenzalida, and
Ana Veroux each notched a singles victory in the first match as well, all posting 6-0, 6-1 duals.
Next up, Islanders Tennis will move full force into conference play starting this Saturday at Nicholls. The women are already off to a 2-1 start, but the men will get their first taste of the new conference season this weekend.
