CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – For the second year in a row, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball team saw four student-athletes recognized for their academic performances as College Sport Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Academic All-District teams.
The 2025 Academic All-District Volleyball teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. A&M-Corpus Christi's four selections include
Brooklyn Jaeger,
Virginia Van Der Werff, Kenna Buchana, and
Katelyn Krienke.
Jaeger qualified with a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA in her kinesiology program, while Van Der Werff and Buchanan hoisted 3.89 and 3.82 cumulative GPA's in their respective degrees of public health and kinesiology. Krienke graduated this fall with her bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences with a 3.93 GPA.
Additionally, Jaeger was selected as a CSC Academic All-America finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced January 13, 2026.
She is the second Islander to be a CSC Academic All-America Finalist after
Kyndal Payne was selected as a finalist last year.
