AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball program will make its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance and get it started in the First Round at No. 3 Texas Thursday at 6:30 p.m. CT in Gregory Gymnasium.
The Islanders (20-10) make their return to the NCAA Tournament after topping No. 1 Southeastern 3-0 in the Southland Conference Tournament. It was sweet revenge for the Islanders, who returned the favor after Southeaster was able to best them last year in the conference finals in Corpus Christi. They also had the honor of snapping the nation's longest winning streak, handing the Lady Lions their first loss since Sept. 5 earlier this year and their first loss to a conference opponent since the 2023 season.
They will be going up against the two-time defending National Champions in the No. 3 seed Texas Longhorns (18-6), who are nationally ranked #13 going into the tournament.
The match will be available to watch live on ESPN+ with Lincoln Rose (pxp) and Shelby Coppedge (analyst) on the call. The winner will advance to the second round against the winner of USC/UT-Arlington.
