Volleyball Inks Eight on 2025 National Signing Day

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball team signed eight student-athletes to recharge for the 2025 season on National Signing Day Wednesday.
 
The Islanders saw Kenrie Pruitt, Kaleigh Welch, Ava Hight, Tatum Mason, Erin Herrmann, Jaeda Rawls Fletcher, Logan Dyer, and Emery Tubbs all sign their commitment to join the program. They will come to the Island ahead of the 2025 competitive season.
 
The newcomer group is made up of six in-state products as well as one from Colorado and one from California. Positionally, the Islanders are bringing in two liberos, three middle blockers, an outside, a right side, and a setter to their 2025 lineup.  
 
The commitments join an Islanders program where, under the direction of head coach Steve Greene, has seen five championships including three trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Kenrie Pruitt
– Libero | 5'6" | Aledo, Texas: "Kenrie brings kinetic energy that is contagious to her teammates. Her killer instinct on defense frustrates opponents preventing any kills. Off the court she is kindhearted which is key to building relationships with her team," said Greene.

Kaleigh Welch – Libero | 5'5" | Troy, Texas: "Kaleigh is very knowledgeable and has always known she wants to be an Islander.  She has a keen eye for detail that keeps her opponents from scoring.  Her kind demeanor will blend well with kindred spirits on our team," said Greene.
 
Ava Hight – Setter | 5'7" | Liberty Hill, Texas: "As a setter, Ava has learned to have amazing attention to detail. She is able to ascertain where her hitters are in all situations at a very high level all while keeping a steady and upbeat attitude," Greene said.
 
Tatum Mason – Right Side | 6'0" | San Antonio, Texas: "Tatum is teeming with skill and athleticism while bringing a very tactical mind to the game. Her coaches tout how teachable she is. Tatum will thrive here as she uses her tenacity to transform into an elite talent," said Greene.
 
Erin Herrmann – Middle Blocker | 5'10" | Fort Collins, Colorado: "Erin is extremely energetic and enthusiastic in her efforts to help push her team to win. She can explosively attack from all areas along the net to ensure an easy transition to the college game," Greene said.
 
Jaeda Rawls Fletcher – Middle Blocker | 5'10" | Houston, Texas: "Jaeda makes her opponents jealous with her athleticism. Jaeda's ability to jump at a high level will create jarring attacks for our opponents. Jaeda has a jubilant nature that will be a joy to have on our team," Greene said.
 
Logan Dyer – Outside Hitter | 6'5" | Waco, Texas: "Logan has a very lively attack due to her length and athleticism. Her coaches have offered laudable praise for her limitless dedication to learning. Fans will love to see her leap and score points on the left side or any place on the court," said Greene.
 
Emery Tubbs
– Middle Blocker | 6'1" | Corona, California: "Emery epitomizes an extraordinary middle blocker. Her game echoes that of elite middles who are very effective both attacking and blocking. She has a very earnest and eager approach to learning," Greene said.
