CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its All-Academic Teams and Scholar Athletes, and both the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's and women's tennis programs were recognized, in addition to
Pascal Lorieul and
Emma Aucagne individually.

The minimum requirement for a team to be eligible was a 3.2 grade point average (GPA) amongst all varsity letter winners. The minimum GPA for a scholar athlete was a 3.5 GPA. For the 2021-22 year, men's tennis tallied a 3.566 GPA, while the women notched a 3.696.
"We're very proud of our men's and women's tennis teams for both being named ITA All-Academic for the 10th straight year. They worked so hard on the tennis court and equally hard in the classroom," said head coach
Steve Moore. "A special Islander said years ago 'if you're disciplined in the classroom, you're disciplined on the tennis court. If you are a no excuses hard worker on the tennis court, you're the same in the classroom.' And that really exemplifies these kids – high-character and highly motivated."

Both Aucagne and Lorieul were Southland Conference All-Academic First-Team selections. Aucagne was also the SLC Player of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year. Four student-athletes recorded 4.0 GPAs in both semesters including
Nathan Schwartz,
Jordan Ortega-Mendez,
Kateryna Rublevska and Aucagne.
