Women’s Tennis Sweeps Lamar for Fifth Straight Win

BEAUMONT, Texas – Similar to last year's Southland Conference Championship match, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis program swept Lamar 4-0 on the road Monday at the Thompson Family Tennis Center.

It came after the Islanders (12-2) beat the Cardinals 4-0 in the finals last year to advance to the NCAA Tournament. Lamar departed for the WAC upon conclusion of the 2020-21 year.

It was the fifth consecutive sweep for A&M-Corpus Christi and second straight on the road after beating UTSA 4-0 last week. The Islanders have not dropped a set during the winning-streak.
