EDINBURG, Texas – Weather conditions caused the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi tennis programs to trade home dates with UTRGV as the Islanders will now travel to the Orville Cox Tennis Center on Wednesday for the South Texas Showdown, presented by NavyArmy Community Credit Union.
Â
The men's match will begin at 12 p.m. followed by the women at 3 p.m.
Â

The Islanders lead the all-time series 4-1. This year, A&M-Corpus Christi is ahead 23-10 with each win counting as three points and one point being awarded for attendance for men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball and baseball.
Â
"This is a great rivalry series that the student-athletes love and it's so great for South Texas and both universities. I think everyone involved loves the intensity, the challenge and the respected rivalry. We're looking forward to competing, and once again strive to play every point with intensity and have the best team spirit in the country – that's our goal for every match," said head coach
Steve Moore.
