CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – For outstanding achievement in the classroom, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball program was honored by the United States Marine Corp (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) with a Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 season.

A&M-Corpus Christi was recognized for being among the top-20 percent of all team GPAs in Division I. The USMC/AVCA has distinguished the Islanders four years in a row for academic success.

The volleyball program posted a 3.64 Team GPA in the fall and topped it with a 3.72 GPA in the spring. Additionally, 11 student-athletes on the roster maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
