Simeon Fryer signs with men's basketball

April 22, 2020

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi head men's basketball coach Willis Wilson has announced the signing of Simeon Fryer to the Islanders 2020-21 roster. Fryer, a 6'5" guard, averaged 12.6 points at the Community College of Beaver County. He shot 52.1 percent from the field, averaged 5.2 rebounds per game and connected on 81.5 percent of his free throw attempts.

Fryer appeared in all 31 games for the Titans and coach Bryen Spriggs, helping lead the team to a No. 4 national ranking. He joins former CCBC teammates Cyrie Coates and Rasheed Browne on the Island, who committed during the current signing period. The Philadelphia, Pa., native averaged 2.9 assists per game and made 54-of-120 (45.0 percent) three point attempts.

"Simeon is a great addition to our program," said Wilson. "He is a very complete player who does all of the little things to help his team win at a high level. We are especially excited about Simeon because of his ability to shoot the basketball with deep range. He is a winner, a great teammate, and a terrific player."
