FRISCO, Texas - The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Beach Volleyball pair of
Brooke Adkisson and
Giuliana Poletti Corrales garnered this week's Southland Beach Volleyball Pair of the week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday morning.
The duo went a perfect 4-0 at the UNO Invitational this past weekend, posting a 2-0 mark at the No. 2 flight and 2-0 as the No. 3 pairing against No. 20 Tulane and conference opponents New Orleans, Nicholls and Southeastern Louisiana. The twosome won three of their four matches in straight sets.
The highlight of the weekend for the pair came against No. 20 Tulane, as the duo battled back from a set down to win 2-1 (24-26, 21-15, 15-8),clinching the team victory, 3-2 for the Blue and Green.
So far this season, the twosome are 4-2 at the No. 3 flight and 2-0 as the No. 2 paring. The Islanders are 5-3 through eight matches this season and a perfect 3-0 in Southland Conference play.
