FRISCO, Texas – For the second time this year,
Millie Olsson and Maria Duda Fernadnes de Melo of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball team was named the SLC Pair of the Week announced by the league office Tuesday.
It is the third honor for the Islanders this season, and second for the pairing of Olsson/Fernandes de Melo who this time posted a perfect 5-0 weekend to help the Islanders clinch the regular season championship.
The duo completed a perfect 6-0 conference record all at Flight Two, earning each win in straight sets to aid in the Islanders' undefeated SLC slate as a team. It also secured the No. 1 seed for the SLC Tournament, which the Islanders will host on April 22-24.
This Islanders will have the week off before hosting their home tournament, the 2026 Islanders Classic, April 3-4 at Water's Edge Park.
