CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beach volleyball team will host their annual tournament with the 2026 Islanders Classic, presented by Fulton Coastcon General Contractors, this weekend at Water's Edge Park.
The Islanders welcome Pepperdine, CSU Bakersfield, Tarleton State, and ULM to their home sand Friday and Saturday for the eighth annual event. The five teams will play in a round-robin format over the two-day tournament, with five matches scheduled to be played each day. The full schedule can be viewed below.
Additionally, the Islanders will hold a special Senior Day presentation honoring this year's senior class on Saturday following the conclusion of their match against ULM around 3 p.m.
The Islanders are coming off a bye week that followed a regular season championship run at the SLC Midseason Tournament to cap an undefeated conference record. Overall, the program improved to 46-1 against Southland opponents in regular season matches since 2019 and have now won three of the four awarded regular season championships.
They bring the trophy back to the Island just in time for their home tournament, the first of two final regular season events before heading into the postseason as the No. 1 seed for the SLC Championships which the Islanders will host back at Water's Edge Park April 22-24.
All matches played against the Islanders will be streamed live on ESPN+.
