Islanders solid late, beat Missouri at home 5-2

- The Islanders (2-5) held the Tigers (4-3) scoreless for the final seven innings of Monday's game to earn the victory over the SEC member program.
- Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's bullpen tossed 6.0 innings of scoreless relief while the offense plated five runs over the final four innings.

- The Islanders scored five runs on 10 hits with one error while Missouri had two runs on seven hits with no errors.

- David Worrell picked up the win, throwing 3.0 innings of near-perfect relief. He set down six of the nine batters he faced via strikeout and did not allow a hit or a walk. The only runner he allowed on came via a dropped third strike on his first strikeout of the day.
