- The opening game of the day was a pitcher's dual between North Texas and sophomore
Jenika Lombrana. The Humble, Texas native threw a complete game including seven scoreless innings. She all collected four strikeouts.
- The Mean Green broke the scoreless tie in the top of the 8th with three runs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi was not able to rally in the bottom half of the inning, falling by the final score of 3-0.

Haley Morse led the Islanders offense, batting one-for-three which included a two out double to left field.

Kandace Johnson started the second game of the day for A&M-Corpus Christi, pitching a complete game, giving up two earned runs on five hits. Johnson also tied her career high with seven strikeouts.
- Texas Southern collected a run in both the 5th and 6th innings, taking a 2-0 lead over the Islanders.
