2020 (Senior) 
Played in eight games with five starts in a shortened 2020 season ... batted one-for-three with a two RBI single, a run scored and a stolen base vs. Louisiana Monroe (2/15) ... picked up a hit and RBI against South Dakota State (2/15). 

2019 (Junior)
Appeared and started in 50 games ... picked up 24 hits on the year including one double ... scored eight times and had seven RBIs ... drew six walks and was hit twice ... was 8-for-9 on stolen base attempts ... recorded 54 putouts and had 91 total assists defensively ... went 2-for-4 with a stolen base against Incarnate Word (2/9) ... was 2-for-3 with a stolen base against UIW (5/5).

UNLV
Vela appeared in 59 games and made 37 starts in two seasons ... collected 18 hits with five doubles and eight runs scored during her freshman and sophomore seasons.

Tomball HS
Vela was born in Conroe, Texas, and played four years at Tomball High School ... earned first team all-district honors three times after being named second team during her freshman season ... lead her team to a pair of bi-district championships while playing second base and shortstop ... played club ball for the Texas Peppers, Texas Sudden Impact and Diamond Sports Hotshots.
