CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The shots just weren't falling for the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball program Saturday when it dropped a 75-63 decision to Texas State at the American Bank Center.

Â
A&M-Corpus Christi was playing catch-up for most of the second half. It trailed 43-30 after a three by junior
Cyrie Coates Jr. with 14:01 remaining, but Texas State scored the next four points to go up 47-40. The Bobcats extended the lead to 53-42 after a three with 10:29 left.

Â
A&M-Corpus Christi will play its first road game of the season Monday when it travels to SMU for a 7 p.m. tip. It will be just the second-ever meeting between the two programs and the first since 2008-09.
