ARLINGTON, Texas – The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's golf team shot a total of 301 on the final day of the UT Arlington Invitational at Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, TX. The blue and green competed in a two-day, three round tournament to finish in 4th place as a team. The Islanders finished 20 strokes ahead of Southland conference rival Stephen F. Austin St. and well ahead of Prairie View A&M. The University of Louisiana Monroe captured the team title.

"We had a solid round of 301 again," said Head Coach
Joni Stephens. "It was good to have three consistent scores on our first time out. I was excited to see our freshmen leading the way this week. It was their first college tournament and they finished 9th and 14th. Lucie had her first sub-par college round, firing a 71 today. We had good rounds out of all five of our players during the tournament, but we need that in all three rounds to compete to win."
