- The blue and green used an 8-0 run in the third quarter and outscored the Cardinals, 26-13 in the second half to come away with the 10 point victory.
- Booth led the Islander offense with 11 points and six rebounds. Bryant added nine points while also grabbing a team high eight rebounds.
- Bryant also recorded three blocked shots and added three steals, tying her season high.
- Evans and freshman
Alecia Westbrook netted eight points each. Evans also collected six rebounds, two steals and an assist.

- As a team, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi forced 22 Cardinal turnovers on 12 steals. The defense also held Lamar to 28.6-percent shooting from the field.
- For the 13th time this season, the Islanders won the battle of the boards, outrebounding the Cardinals 39-30. Texas A&M-Corpus Chrisit is now 10-3 this season when outrebounding its opponent.
- A&M-Corpus Christi scored 20 of its 49 points in the paint.
Islander Notables
- With three blocks today, Bryant now has 91 for her career and is just two shy of taking over the No. 5 spot all-time.
- Booth's single block today gives her 115 for her career, giving her sole possession of No. 3 all-time. She is now just nine blocks shy of tying the all-time mark of 124.
- Coleman-O'Bryan inches closer to 1,000 career points, as she is now just nine away. She can join Booth as one of two starters on this year's team to reach the mark.
