CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Former NBA Champion and San Antonio Spur, Sean Elliott, will be the featured speaker at the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Islander Tip-Off Dinner on Sunday, Oct. 27. This year's event will be held at the Art Museum of South Texas in downtown Corpus Christi.
Elliott played college basketball at the University of Arizona and in 1989 was drafted with the third overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs. He was an All-Star in both 1995 and 1996. Elliott helped the Spurs to their first NBA championship in 1999.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a VIP social that is included in the Champions sponsor package. Doors for the main event will open at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and the program to follow. The event will also feature comments from Head Men's Basketball Coach
Willis Wilson and Head Women's Basketball Coach
Royce Chadwick.
