CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The 19th Annual Islander Athletic Fund (IAF) Golf Classic, presented by American Bank, will be held on Monday, April 14, at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
The Islander Athletic Fund invites businesses and organizations to participate and sponsor the event. The IAF Golf Classic is a signature event for Islander Athletics and has increased in popularity each year. It is a significant fundraiser that directly supports scholarships for Islander student-athletes. Last year, the event raised a record-breaking $84,000 towards scholarship funds for student-athletes at A&M-Corpus Christi.
This year's event is a 4-player, 18-hole scramble slated for a 1 p.m. shotgun start. It will feature fun games on the course and unique interactions with select Islanders coaches and student-athletes. Participants will also be able to bid on sports memorabilia and purchase mulligans. Lunch will be served at noon with an awards reception to follow golf.
