Volleyball hits historic mark with 3-1 victory over Murray State

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi volleyball team defeated Murray State, 3-1, on Saturday morning at Holloway Gymnasium in West Lafayette, Ind., on the campus of Purdue University.
- The Islanders improved to 8-6 on the season while the Racers fall to 6-6.
- The team's .377 attack percentage set a four-set program record that was set back in 2013 against Mississippi Valley State (.370, Sept. 13).
- The attack percentage on Saturday was the highest mark since a .461 three-set performance on Sept. 20, 2016, against Sam Houston State.
- Kylie Filipiak hit .524 for the match with a team-high 12 kills and just one attacking error. The sophomore had three digs, one block and an assist.
- All time, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is now 2-0 against Murray State. The two teams met back on Sept. 2, 2011, at the Valparaiso Tournament.
- Madison Green was named to the Stacey Clark Classic All-Tournament team.

- The Islanders hit .609 during the third set with 15 kills and just one errors.
- In the fourth set, Murray State hit just .097, committing six errors on 31 attacks.
- Eloise van Velthooven had eight kills with just one attacking errors. She also had one dig while hitting .389 for the match.
- Green registered 27 assists with six kills, five digs and one block.
- Carissa Barnes had five service aces, 23 digs and three assists.
- Rachel Young had seven kills with one assist.
- Sam Dumity hit .455 for the match with seven kills, five digs, three blocks and one assist.
