- Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi senior
Sashane Hanson finished in a tie for 16th in the high jump on Saturday at the 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
- Hanson becomes the second female All-America performer in school history and the fourth overall, earning a second team honor for her finish.
- The senior cleared the opening height of 1.70m (5-7.0) and the second height of 1.75m (5-8.75) in her first attempt.
- Hanson took three attempts at 1.78m (5-10.0) but was unable to clear in three attempts.
- Also tying for 16th was Nicole Ader from Nevada and Tyra Gittens from Texas A&M.
- The championships were held at the Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
