Armstrong advances in NCAA West Preliminaries

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi track and field teams had three student-athletes in action at the 2019 NCAA Division I West Preliminaries on Friday at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, Calif.
- Daniel Armstrong advanced to the quarterfinals of the 110 meter hurdles, resetting his own school record with a time of 14.04. He is ranked No. 21 heading into Saturday's competition.
- Sierra Pruitt ran 24.86 in the 200 meter dash prelims to place 45th overall.
- Logan Robinson placed 46th in the javelin with a best mark of 179-6 (54.71m).

The 2019 and 2020 Outdoor Championships will be held in Austin while the University of Oregon finishes construction on Hayward Field. The top 12 qualifiers from the East and West regionals (24 combined) will earn a spot at the national championship meet.
