Baseball falls to McNeese in second round

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi baseball team fell to McNeese State University, 7-2, on Thursday evening at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas.
- The No. 8 seed Islanders fall to 31-25 overall while the Cowboys improve to 33-24.

Key Islander Statistics
- Steven Rivera-Chijin was 1-for-3 with an RBI, singling home a run in the eighth.
- Thomas Jeffries IV was 1-for-3 with a triple. He came around to score the team's first run in the eighth.
- Nick Anderson reached base twice, going 1-for-3 with a bunt single and a walk.
- Drake Osborn reached on an error that scored a run in the eighth. He would later score on Rivera-Chijin's single.
- Dustin Lacaze got the start on the mound. He went 6.2 innings, allowing four earned runs on six hits while striking out five.
- Cody LeCompte went 1.2 innings in relief, allowing one run on two hits. He struck out two and did not issue a walk.

8th  |  Jeffries IV led off the eighth with a hooking triple down the left field line and came in to score as Osborn reached on an error by the Cowboys and made it all the way to second. Rivera-Chijin hit an RBI single to left to score Osborn for the Islanders' second run of the inning.
