Steven Rivera-Chijin got things moving early in the second, as the first two pushed singles through the right side before the latter loaded the bases on a hit-by-pitch. Martinez cleaned up with a five-pitch walk, scoring the game's first run, before
Tyler Mendoza reached on an error to score Beard.

Nick Anderson sitting on second following a walk, Williams jacked a two-run homer down the right-field line, pushing the Blue & Green advantage up to a 4-0 margin.
- After Martinez and Mendoza worked their way on base via a hit-by-pitch and error, respectively, Enrique Sannchez Jr. set up another bases-loaded situation behind an infield single. Burts took advantage during the next at-bat, driving a double down the left-field line to score two runs and set up Sanchez Jr. at third.
- Following a
Luke Marbach hit-by-pitch loading the bases again, both Williams and Beard picked up back-to-back RBI walks in the Islanders' final two runs of the matchup.
